I am very able of abstract thoughts however this is not an abstract situation. I hate to sound patronising but no matter what you do their is going to be consequences. In your casee in resulted in ban from the chat. It's nice that you are apologizing but that doesn't mean you have to face consequences.
I think you're making a mountain out of a mole hill. Why are you letting the fact that you got banned from a chat bother you so much? if soneone is doing something on the computer that is upsetting you just simply turn it off and find something else to do. You're not doing yourself any favors by dwelling on it and being emotional about it.
I'd hate to imagine what you're like when a real catastrophe happens to you.
Some people are more sensitive to others, and aspies are definitely much more sensitive than NTs. The people who run these chatrooms, whoever they are, should have an understanding of the feelings of the people there, especially for someone who has some form of cancer. If the people who run these chatrooms, whoever they are, don't know that, then maybe they shouldn't be boss.
It's not always easy for us to let things go on the spin of a dime. I think they call it "theory of mind" or something.
