Sure, the OP was generalizing, but there is some truth in what s/he said (sorry, OP, didn't check if you were male or female). Many (not necessarily most, definitely not all) NT's are judgemental and cruel toward us. Note that s/he didn't SAY ALL, or even MOST (s/he said LOTS OF). And s/he asked why.
I believe it's a matter of fearing what is different from the self, and not understanding. Y'all are free to disagree with me if you like, but this *is* the haven, after all, and I think ideas would be welcome. I think we'd get less static if more NT's understood that we're not "trying" to be difficult or that it's not that we "don't care". I am in the process of trying to talk to my NT husband who was initially very resistant to understanding this. He's starting to come around. I think it's possible that other NTs can too, if they listen and if we educate.
