It seems to me the first thing you gotta do is find or create a safe place. Maybe you'd be the only person in it, to begin with.

Why don't you have access to your meds?

I don't know why people are mean. Can you get away from them?

no, i have to live with them. My dad wouldn't let me take my meds because i'm his son, so "there can't be anything wrong with me."

How old are you, Rakkety_Tamm? This might help people in giving you advice on what you need to do.

If you're 19 or older, maybe you could make plans to move out. The sooner you get out of such a situation, the better. Even if you're not ready to be on your own, now you can plan for when you're ready.

I see lawyers advertising that they will help disabled people get SSI with no
money upfront. Thats one idea.

If you go away to college (much nicer than high school) you could also get
government aid or loans and live on your on .

I had a GED and entered a 4 year college that had open admission. Do some
web search for open admission schools. Idealy in your on state so you do not have to pay outta state fees.

actually, alot of us aspies are in tough situations.

getting a job or going to school aren't always solutions, especially when we're misunderstood.

i don't have any feedback that would help right now.

You're 18? a.) become legally emancipated from your parents and live with a friend or b.) call child protective services. Since you're being denied medication, and especially if your parents are using any government medical plan, you might have a case to be moved into foster care. Get any kind of job and you can move closer towards being financially independent from mom and dad.

Rakkety Tamm, document what your father does. Since you do have access to a computer, you can do all sorts of things to store your documentation online where he can't find it. If you have a locker you can put a lock on it and store paper documentation there. There is such a thing as abuse of a dependent adult. If he keeps it up, you can get him in trouble for it. Not allowing you to take your prescription medicine is a good example.

How about telling the doc who prescribed the meds, and asking for the doc's help in getting permission to take them?
