I am so very sick of this world. It's after midnight and I'm very tired but I don't want to sleep because you just don't know what else will go wrong before you wake up. Everything in the world is getting worse and worse. What's the point of doing anything anymore, we're all just going to die soon and it will be as if we've never even lived. I'm tired of a world that's overpopulated and full of people who act stupid and fight and kill and it never solves anything and climate change and the economy and on and on. I'm too dependent on my parents, how will I survive when they are gone? Will the world even be worth surviving in? Sorry for sounding so "emo" or whatever you younger people call it, I really hate that word.

So be emo and don't be sorry about it. It's no different now than it's ever been, it's just being sensationalized for profit more.

yes, mundane reality is way overrated. but we all signed up for this stuff before we were born, so we are here to learn something from it somehow.

I used to subscribe to that model until I had to wonder, for example, the holocaust survivor who said that their heart was so filled with poison that you would lick if if you die. What added skill set does that bring to another life?

OP: I think, if we have it in us to keep living, the only thing we can do is learn to unwind, let go, and palliate as best as possible. Be active in events, feel like you give yourself something of a local purpose or have some kind of constant self-betterment. Without goals you really find yourself sinking hard and fast.
