Unfortunately i have been sick for more than a week. I thought i was much better but since everyone in my house got my cold it makes it that much harder to get better. I am airing my bedroom out cause of all the germs and changing my sheets. Then i will spray the room with Lysol to disinfect it. In a way i feel horrible because my parents and sister caught my cold. Although i still can't smell anything i am doing a lot better than last week. All i want is to be healthy again and no longer sick. Sometimes i get sinus infections as well i never used to so it sucks. Whenever i am sick i like drinking Gatorade or Ginger Ale the most. As far as eating i enjoy soup, Italian ice, noodles, scrambled eggs, bread, jello or pudding. Yes i take some medicine for colds. I usually get a runny nose, sore throat, headache. My sense of taste and smell are completely gone. Anyone get colds or sinus infections?

I most certainly do. typically get a bad sinus infection which often moves to the bronchial tubes annually. something that eases symptoms is an old Appalachian remedy my family and indeed all the people in my area use. the remedy consists of ones consumption of table spoons of white liquor (as many as it takes to open your sinuses) with a little bit of honey and lemon juice in it. Get a jar of real raw bee honey, drop a lemon wedge in it, then pour in about four ounces of white liquor aka moonshine in on top and stir it all together. could be the only ingredient not available where you live but it can be substituted with just one or two ounces of ever-clear (90% pure DRINKING alcohol).
Another method I use to open the sinuses is to eat some incredibly spicy food like something my best friend's mom makes called Chile Verde.
