I've always wanted to ask....what's the difference between trolls and sock puppets?

A sock puppet is merely a second/additional account a person sets up. Often they post in the same threads.

Thanks. Sock puppets, hmm, nice to have someone who agrees with you in a thread, even if it's yourself? :?

Its more complex in the case of troll controlled puppets. They may even flame each other. Its all about getting attention to the thread.

Yes, I fell for that once, trying to defend someone who was being attacked by himself
Hopefully I won't make that mistake again. I imagine the person sitting by their computer having a good laugh at the mayhem they caused.

It looks pretty silly, and that's why I like it!

Nice to see you're back on top of things, Grael.

Thanks, maybe too much so, since I seem to have my foot in it elsewhere on the forum, but I suppose one is not going to ever be able to not offend someone in the process of being themselves and speaking openly. I have had so many years of biting my tongue and not speaking... not gonna do that anymore, though of course, I am never intentionally abusive or nasty on forums. Just honest...anyway... yeah... I need a new avatar, time to hunt things down.

Legend of Zelda. It is a puzzle game. And Link (my current avatar) is the hero. I made a joke last post.
