wow, oh yes ys YES~~! oh finally someone said it in a way I can understand.
thankyouthankyouthankyouuuuu

you outlined the BPD

SIGH RESPONSE!

the BAD MOVIE BUT I STILL WATCHED IT - response

and possibly the ever-popular,

Trollface~NoIdidn't WTF URTHECRAZYONE response!

o.O

to which I reply, with great and giddy glee,

Searle's Combination Response when posing the Chinese Room Puzzle:

'...but then, you would have to ascribe intentionality to the system.'

um, did anyone else understand what i just said? ( I don't count)

I kinda feel the same...though my mom is supportive on the surface, There are things I end up keeping from her because I don't want to deal with her drama. I have made a lot of progress with not letting what she will think or how she will feel run my life.....but it still makes me sad that once I actually figure some things out and am ready to go on with my life it is very likely the 'support' will be replaced with rejection of me for not following the mold she has in her mind of how I should be.
I have similar problems with my mother (although between a work-shy husband, a quite severely autistic daughter, and no bolthole since her own mother died last year, it's hard to claim that she isn't a victim). Some of the stuff re borderline personality disorder (which someone else also mentioned to me when I brought up my situation on another internet forum) does seem to ring a bell with me...
