Please ask me questions, talk to me, give me advice or something so I can take my mind off things. I'm very low right now.

I'm feeling very depressed right now and time goes by very slowly. I'm failing at life and I don't understand why this is happening to me.

Is it nice where you live? Sometimes just going outside and going for a walk and focusing on breathing and your steps becomes a nice meditative state, or walking while listening to music.

What kind of music do you like? I really like Modest Mouse, The Flaming Lips, Fiona Apple, things like that. A new band I've been listening to is called Of Monsters and Men. They are pretty sweet to listen to and it has been inspiring to me.

Do you want to look at my jewelry I make and give me feedback on it? I havent been selling much (anything!) lately and I don't know why, I think my shop looks nice. It is fashionunicorn on etsy. That would help me alot actually!

I hope you feel better soon.

Here's a distraction. You can read about the suffering lots of people endured over the years in Martyrs Mirror. (I'm not religious. I just read it for historical purposes).

In what ways are you failing? Most of us here are failures of one kind or another and most of us also go through periods of profound depressions, so you are not alone. Things often are not as bad as they appear though, and perhaps by being a little more specific, some of us who are not in the situation with you can give you a fresh perspective. Remember that as an aspie, you will tend to be very prone to seeing everything as being a catastrophe due to your neurological makeup. Involving others can sometimes offset that a bit by allowing in a fresh perspective.

Sure, it's nice where I live but I'm afraid I'm too depressed to go out. I go out sometimes though (when I have to buy food or when I really have to be at college etc).

I like Modest Mouse and Of Monsters and Men too. I also like music like Johnny Flynn, Beirut, Fleet Foxes, Sufjan Stevens etc. Do you listen to any of those?

Sure, I can take a look at your jewellery. You should know I'm not good at that kind of stuff though. Ha.

I just feel like an overall failure. College is going really bad, I'm depressed, I'm confused and life feels rather meaningless.

Hey, I LOVE the Feet Foxes. They played here last October and it was amazing. Try some of Josh Tillman's solo stuff, and his little brother, Zach. They are both pretty cool, but Josh can be a downer.

I make jewelry too. I'd love to have a look at your shop.

...Same here. >_> Have been doing okay, today and yesterday, though.

Do you like anime? If so, what is one of your favourites? I am currently watching 'Serial Experiments: Lain' and 'Dear Brother'.... both are good, but I am not all that into the lesbian love that seems to permeate the story of Dear Brother...

(Sorry for the slow reply, by the way...)

I have listened to Sufjan Stevens, he is pretty amazing. Although I liked his earlier albums with state names more than the more recent release that I have heard. He is always a good one for a lonesome autumn afternoon, some of his songs are so dramatic and haunting it seems.

Of all the bizzare things I have ever researched, this is the one that never fails to make me smile...

I have this daydream of going on Mastermind with fictional ducks as my specialist subject :)
