Back in October/November on a messageboard someone, told me to stop using the fact that I have Asperger's Syndrome as an "excuse" and that got me really mad and I wanted to call them something that would hit home. I called them something really nasty, something I really shouldn't have. I was banned from the message board (which didn't bother me because I was trying to get them to erase me anyway). Someone created a faulse account on SheezyArt just to flame me and sent me a link to a nasty site which they had created about me. They were trying to offend me by making a sick parody of Asperger's Syndrome and taking everything I had ever said on the message board and using it against me and making it into a symptom of "Ass Bugger's" syndrome. My parents about hit the wall when I showed them the site. My mother e-mailed everyone that might be involved and then the host of the site. The site host was shocked too but said they couldn't erase it because it had been made private. When I contacted the people involved they said it was my fault that the site was made. The person I called that nasty name has it worse than me. Okay, but I don't see people making website to make fun of her and she's got like a bazillion cyber friends. She's the one who attacked me first but would never admit it. I posted about this on a diffrent message board and someone from the previous messageboard joined it just to tell me to shut up and that I had it comming to me and that what was written about me was just a joke and that I should lighten up and find it funny too. I agree what I called her was a very horrible word but did I go and make a website about her? No and at least I was going to appolige to her but after I saw this I was glad I didn't.

Thats pretty nasty, best thing to do is to get over it, you'll never know these people so don't worry about it.

That happened to me on a Zelda forum. I was bullied because I was using AS as an excuse. I wasn't using it as an excuse though. I tried to tell them I had it and that it makes me sensitive to insults, but they wouldn't listen. I got banned soon after.

Jeez, that is an excuse, an excuse to feel bad about your feelings. Everybody has self esteem and knows what its like to be criticized. So when you say that your AS makes you super sensitive, people know, you cant BS "them/any human being" about this, its just because you have a low self esteem. Sorry Red, but thats an excuse to not be criticized, you either have to learn to deal with them somehow, and/or understand which are related to your AS and disregard them because of your disability.

yeah, there are a lot of fora on the internet that should best just be avoided. usually the difference is that between openminded and closedminded people, even if it is very popular amongst closedminded people to pretend to be openminded.

Anyone who would spend precious time creating a website in order to get someone back is mentally deranged and needs help. Does she not have homework, a job, hobbies or a life to spend her time on? I guess some people have nothing better to do with their lives. Send her the ph# for a good psych in her area.

Meanwhile I wonder why parents aren't watching their kids on the internet more closely?

...why not tell them you have it? I don't feel the need to when I'm on other forums. I'm not covering it up, or afraid that people would laugh at me. Why? People get suspicious of people who claim to have AS, because usually those people turn out that they don't have it and are just using it as an attention whoring tactic. They probably think you're one of those people.

Yeah. I figured it would be no big deal. I've gotten denial, and even been shunned by people I've told. At least one was supportive, but he was an older person, and not one of my peers. I'll still tell anyone though, because I just say what I feel like. If I can't talk to people about anything, they're just not those that I want to deal with. I'll take my beauty elsewhere.

Just new here - I've done this on another forum too. Plus, many of mine are quality posts. Almost no psot at all. Face it, you've met your master.

Glad I am not the only one who seems to slide easily into a forum obsession...but I cannot deny that I wish it were an obsession with something academic. It seems somewhat wasteful, even if I do learn a great deal about others on here.

The majority of the girls who did it are in college. Some in grad school maybe.

The comments they left on my Sheezy page are how I noticed it even exhisted. The comments in themselves are nasty and the Sheezy people pretend they aren't there no matter how often I tell them to do something about them. I'm just quoting what these people said:

You can't acess the site unless you are a member of Lillymud and then you have to ask for it. The people who run wiki were very upset that people were using their site for such terrible purposes and said they would delete it but couldn't because the site was made private. Wiki is somewhat simmaliar to My Space.

Dude, do you even have to say on the forums you have AS?? It sounds like you are using it as an excuse. I don't even mention I'm on the autism spectrum or that I'm diagnosed with AS or I have PDD because then everyone might think I was using it as an excuse so instead I say I'm literal, I have troubles knowing when someone is joking or being sarcastic and I have troubles in social situations. I don't even tell them why I have those problems. I just say "I don't know" and I also say "Just the way my brain works."
