I'm mentally a mess. I'm having mental breakdowns almost daily for the past week. I'm always starting over a diet *in my head*, and I am beginning to sound like I'm insane to myself. I am frazzled. I can't commit to anything.

I just can't concentrate anymore. I can't remember things well anymore. I am just a mess..

I don't know what to do... and I don't like it. I have no structure. Just feel like crap.

You sound lost and heading for a crash. That's only a bad thing if you have the wrong kind of sorrow.

It sounds like you're really stressed out, although without more information I can't say anything else.
As for dieting;

Water fasting, if I ever attempt it. Yesterday was day 1, and I am starting to feel a lot better. I went to get a haircut to improve myself, and went to a job interview finally (to get this stir crazy feeling out) I done it in the past with some moderate success, and it's the only thing I believe in. I also ran for 1 mile too (to get to the bus stop to get to the job interview).

I been copped up in the house for a few weeks.

Thanks everyone,

I think it's my diet, my sedentary lifestyle, and being home too long is what is causing these feelings.

fasting is a bad way to diet

really all you have to do is eat real food and eat less. its surprising how much you have to eat to gain weight when your not eating processed junk

Been there before.
It sounds like your body is detoxifying.

I stopped taking all intoxicants, ( alcohol, coffee and cigarettes. )
I kept eating properly, drank plenty of water and stayed in bed minimum 8 hours at night, even when I couldn't sleep.

Dieting will throw more toxins into your bloodstream initially. So if you are feeling in a fragile state, it may be better to wait until you are back on your feet a bit more before you diet.

Gentle exercise works wonders with or without a diet as well.
