Normally my memories come and go and if I forget something I commonly remember it a few minutes-hours later. But lately I've just been plain forgetting. For example when I was typing something in google to search yesterday when my mind suddenly blanked and I forgot what I was searching I tried and tried but could not recover the memory(still can't remember). Earlier that day I had a foam cup in my hand set it on top of the fridge, got some fruit juice out, and forgot where I put my cup until today when I almost did it again. I'm only 23 I should not be experiencing memory loss like this. What could be causing it?

Have you been under more stress than usual lately? That could do it.

I'm always have reasons to be stressed. I have a judgemental brother that often calls me a ret*d and tends to get psychotic at points and a dog thats stubborn as it gets (when he wants something he obsesses with it nonstop). Combined with all the corruption going on with the USA government its hard not to be stressed. But still why would it be causing recent problems?

I have always had susceptability to being forgetful, Its usually worse when my mind is thinking about something else. Like many have described here, my mind is rarely still. I get distracted and am not paying much attention to what I am doing. When I am doing something important I have to focus on it purposely.

I know that problem all too well. When I was younger I could not stay focused on anything other than Video Games and was forced to take ADHD medicine(concerta I believe). It caused me to have seizures and severe migraines after that I was allowed to stop and I swore off all medicine.

That said my mind sometimes gets like that when trying to sleep, It keeps analyzing everything that I've experienced, sometimes during that day and sometimes from my past (and on more than one occasion brought up fragments of lost memories). When I'm awake it's as if my mind is constantly on power saving mode and my thoughts are foggy to say the least.
