I used to have a pet iguana, I had to leave the state to do some work and came back about a couple weeks later, in that time I had a nephew watch over my pet Iggy and a pet dog in exchange he got to stay at my home while I was gone., when I got back the Iguana was dead and stiff as a board, and the dog was in the hall convulsing because he had let her out side without keeping an eye on her and she drank some radiator fluid, and he just sat there and ignored her while she was dying, so i kicked him out and took the dog to a vet where they put her to sleep.

I have not gotten a new pet in years because of that, now I have a pet cat, or more like its my sons cat, he kept begging for a pet so I got him one.

I am sorry for your loss.

Shows I still have violent tendancies, the first thing I thought of when I saw your post is how slowly and brutally I would kill anyone who did that to any of my animals (my dog was my best friend, and my cats are my children).

Sorry for your loss MissLizard, I've just lost my dog Morgan as well so we can both be sad together *hug*

Dear MissLizard, you're such a special person and love your pets so much, I'm real sorry about Poppy but at least she had a happy life with you. OK you have others to comfort you, but each and every pet is unique and special.

To AspergianMutantt, I've done plenty of house and pet-sitting in my life, all kinds of animals and am glad to say that none of them ever died under my care. I enjoy looking after all kinds of pets while the owners are away, but you have to be sure the person in whose care you're leaving your "family" is trustworthy and loves animals enough to be their friend.

Thank you,she did had a good life with lots of love and her very own room with fresh food in her bowl everyday.
It's sad to walk in the garden and see the squash blossoms,I keep wanting to pick one for her.She loved them,it was funny to watch her eat this big yellow flower.
