I tend to put myself in a sort of haze where I believe everything is okay and I just go on thinking this until I get a reality check like contacting student finance or someone dying. I am at the point where I am at another reality check and all I want to do is go to sleep and hope that when I wake up I will be back in my haze. I don't know of any other way of coping with reality it is all I have ever done and I know it won't help me get through life and that I am just being dumb in trying to keep myself in this daze. I just don't know what else to do I get so anxious when thinking about things in reality I have to accomplish that I become ill. any advice?

There is a middle path between being totally checked out and anxiously obsessing about the future. It's about showing up for the present moment, and it's called "mindfulness". There are therapists who do mindfulness training, but you can also read up about it on the internet and teach yourself how to do it.

Definitely will give it a look considering that is probably the one thing I need, I tend to just obsess about the future and tend not to stay in the present which is where most of my anxiety comes from. The Unknown always drives me batty which is why I hate surprises which is odd cause I love horror movies.
