Anxiety, Skin Sensitivity
I'm having a lot of anxiety right now because of a bunch of different circumstances in my life. I'm working a lot of hours (paid and unpaid work that I need to do to finish my thesis). I'm worried about money because I feel like I am bleeding money lately and am trying to save up to pay tuition in the fall. I just moved to a new place and am trying to get used to the lady I am boarding with. My sister is getting married next weekend and I'm worried about things I need to to prepare as maid of honor. I'm lonely, I haven't had any friends in the past year. I don't have time to exercise and feel like I am getting more and more overweight. On top of this my skin has been really oily lately, which just make me itchy and feel like I want to constantly crawl out of it. It also makes my skin picking stim worse, but I CAN'T pick right now because it would be bad if I'm all scabby for the wedding. All of this makes it hard to sleep, which makes me extra grumpy and headachy during the day. I don't feel like there is anything I can do to improve the situation other than wait for the wedding to be over and for my number of hours to reduce at the end of august.
Hey fossil_n.
You have a lot going on in your life at the moment, so it's perfectly alright to feel stressed out. Your plan sounds good: figure out which issues need to be resolved soon (eg: your sister's wedding and whatever responsibilities you have as maid of honor) and leave the other non-time sensitive ones until after the wedding. Getting used to your roommate will take time. As for finding time to exercise, are you able to wake up a bit earlier than usual? Everyone has 24 hours in a day, but it's how you allocate your time and whether you're using that time efficiently. For the oily skin, I have similar issues, so I would recommend eating more veggies and using Cetaphil or Dove bar soap twice a day. With the Dove soap, it leaves that refreshing, moisturized feeling...not the "tight, dry skin" feeling that I've experienced with other branded soaps.

Thanks Beau! I've been feeling a bit better the last couple of days (thanks to the weekend). Waking up earlier would probably just make me feel worse because I'm a major night owl (In fact I probably have delayed sleep-phase syndrome, which means that my body does not release melatonin at the correct times), but today and Friday I took advantage of the late sunset to take a walk around 8-9pm, and that was really nice.
I used to use dove bar soap, I might have to go back to it!
Hey fossil_n.
You're welcome! Glad to read that you're doing better. haha yeah, I was wondering if you were a morning person...sounds like walking at night works best for you, so keep it up. Just make sure to be safe; I usually carry an umbrella and/or pepper spray with me when I'm out walking alone.
Are you currently using any facial cleansing products? If so, then maybe increase the frequency? You should check the directions on the back. However, if those products haven't been working well for you, then I'd suggest trying the Dove again for a week and see if your skin clears up. Don't forget that stress may also play a factor in acne development.
