Love is freely given by God/Spirit/the God and Goddess/the Kami/the Universe! That's why it's so wonderful. The best part is that you can freely give your love to other people! :D Everyone deserves to be loved because denying them love is one of the worst things a human can do.

^Oh, thank you! :D People often comment on how I say beautiful or wise things.

Also, as a general thing to anyone whom it may concern, I am one of the most cheerful people on this forum, so if you ever need cheering up, just feel free to pm me! I am also good at finding nice songs and pictures on the internet!

I had quite a few girl-acquaintances, a few girlfriends, and a wife--all before I got my license!

Indeed. I have no plans for obtaining a driver's license anytime soon. I'm just not interested in this.

I like having my drivers license because it gives me flexibility. I have access to many parts of the country where public transportation doesn't go.

I really don't want to get a driver's license because I don't like cars and I don't like going fast. Plus, because of my eye, I'm not exactly road-worthy.

Driving is a stressful experience for an aspie. Especially at intersections.

I would say Romanian intersections are probably more tense than American intersections.

But I bet they fixed the roads really thoroughly in Romania recently. Under Ceaucescu, I would bet there were many missing manhole covers.

Not really. Ceaushescu built most of the Romanian infrastructure.
Regardless, our streets are poorly maintained and have lots of potholes.

In New York, there are places where the roads are poorly maintained.

Most of the time, though, people follow traffic laws.

Is not owning a car more common in NYC compared with other places?

Sly, that's in your head. You could ask a hundred people and they'd all tell you public transport is equally for men and women. On public transport I see equal numbers of men and women, ranging from young to old. I see rich and poor.

If you're on public transport they won't even know you don't have a car. It's very common for people to own a car for going places in the suburbs but use public transport to commute to work, especially where parking is expensive.

Maybe down under. In the us many look down on public transportation. Middle class and rich mostly.

I'm not imagining them requiring a guy have a car to message them or be considered a real man. They put it right on their profiles and ads.

That's helpful. You know which women to avoid contacting!

I agree Pineapplejuicex. I've seen profiles like that. They say they want a guy with his own place, his own car and a well paying job (and in some cases a nice suit). Even though I have all four of those things so I would technically qualify to answer that kind of ad, I ignore them because I don't want to be with an angry, judgemental biyatch.

Sly, this car thing is in your head only. Most in cities like Manhattan, central DC, London, Dublin, New Orleans, etc. don't own cars and do just fine finding relationships. Met current BF online, he had no car at the time, so I picked him up for dates.

I don't live in any of those cities though. Mine is a bit more spread out. Do have one of the best technology advanced bus systems though I guess. But they'll doing it at the cost of decreasing service. Takes me an hour to get to work and that's only 7 miles. While it sucks leaving hour and half early every day I don't go places besides work so it doesn't bother me too much and if I did I sure I could arrange it according to the bus. Only problem is there no late night service or early morning service.

Most women list it and lots likely think the same thing. I messaged w bunch who didn't list it but then asked about job, car, etc in first messages then ignored me after I anwsered. It's something I see lots of women say is needed for a guy to be date able and consider d a real man. It really sucks to have thousands of women tell you your not a real man.

I'm all ready limited by my looks so I can't approach any women I find attractive:(
