I'm very, very afraid to read or watch the news since I'm incredibly touchy about politics, and hate how sometimes politics is injected into non-political stories. I'm afraid to even look at newspapers since their headlines can scream at me, and whenever I hear or read something political, my heart skips a beat, and I find myself paralyzed, losing interest in my standard hobbies, and I'm actually afraid I might get a heart attack from indulging in taboo topics. Does anyone else have similar issues?

Politics can be overbearing and discussions involving pol!itics go round in circles. Personally I find watching a good film like Hook which I caught on TV the other day helps to clear my mind and forget those kind of angry or anxiety inducimg political debates going on.

I tend to take news/political news in stride, but I do have to admit I could see how it could make somebody anxious. The political climate is not exactly healthy around the world right now. Maybe you could find a special interest to help you reduce your anxiety.
