Series one is medieval (my least favourite)
Two is Elizabethan.
Three is Georgian.
Fourth (Blackadder goes forth) is WWI era.
I think you'd really like them.

Yeah, random memes could have several meanings and can be interpreted differently than intended. It's a minefield.
