i barely knew her but still cannot stop the tears.
at a loss for words, i offer this:
NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER
I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still - in each new dawn
Thanks for this poem...it has offered me comfort...
I think in my previous post I was overwhelmed by feelings of shock and sadness...
I do wish that she has found peace and healing and happiness where she is now...
To think of the pain that she must have been feeling....gives me such a heartache....
She was such a beautiful person...I hope she can read how much people admire and miss her and be consoled...
I believe that her soul has gone to a place as beautiful and special as herself..
