I just remember that I am alive and breathing and am thankful that I am not experiencing chronic physical pain. I am thankful for the abilities that I do have, for all that I have learned and for all that I will continue to learn, as well as for my curiosity and my desire to experience understanding.
A rock and a tree may not experience enjoyment, but they also have no need for the hyped-up constantly entertained state that many humans find themselves craving in these times of technological takeover. Similarly, rocks and trees experience what we humans seem to have so much difficulty grasping; they have a small niche in a system much larger than themselves and do not feel the need to be omnipotent.
We humans have knowledge of what we do not know and what we are not, and it drives us crazy. Each time I feel 'insanity' or 'loneliness' creeping up on me, I remember that it is not the first moment that I have experienced that emotion, nor will it be the last, and these emotions are only drops in a sea of human experience.
In short, I try to relish the little pleasures, as I am one very tiny person on a very large planet, teeming with life and information.
