i agree that the world has too many people in it. as it is.
the efficiency of human gathering of resources to feed themselves and satisfy their greed is very low. it requires too much room on earth to level and humanize in order to grow the crops and build the factories and build the roads that connect everything.
growing trees are essential for a climate amenable to humans and all animals. to burn wood is to introduce carbon into the atmosphere and is the lowest order of destruction of trees. some may say that the deforestation of brazil and other parts of the amazon jungle is OK as long as it is turned into building materials or furniture which preserves the carbon in a bound state, and thereby does not contribute to global warming. but the fact is that dead wood even though not burnt, no longer converts carbon dioxide to biomass and oxygen.
a smart mineral alternative to wood would be very beneficial to the lungs of the world.
people are very conceited as a species and think they are far above all other animals in deservedness and importance in the eyes of god, but they are just greedy simple animals that have a brain that is complex enough to permit them to trample over all other species. i dislike people in general for that characteristic.
but people are all just a victim of their own existence, and just as deserving of a break as all other animals (but no more so), so i do not consider a plague to be a very good idea since it would incur suffering which is deserved by no living thing. efficiency of energy gathering is the paramount necessity that humans have to evolve toward.
there are 7 billion (give or take some) and if they all stood in a square formation whereas everyone was at arms length from their neighbour (1 meter to the left and the right and behind and in front), then it would be a square area with a side of 83.6 km.
7,000,000,000 ^ .5 (square root) = 83666.00265 people across by 83666.00265 people down.
look at this picture of south america and note the deforestation in the amazon basin, and see the red area which is the area that everyone on earth would occupy if they all stood 1 meter apart.
how inefficient is it that most of the world is now deforested for such a small area of people?
it is big business that ret*ds the exploration into efficiency because it rigidly adheres to well worn customs

Do you mean "plague"?
"Plaque" is either a flat, thin piece of metal or wood with writing on it that is used especially as a reminder of something (such as a historic event or an achievement); a thin coating that forms on teeth and contains bacteria; a superficial, solid, elevated skin lesion with a diameter equal to or greater than 1.0 cm (0.5 cm according to some authorities); or a lesion of atherosclerosis - a white to yellow area within the wall of an artery that causes the intimal surface to bulge into the lumen, and is composed of lipid, cell debris, smooth muscle cells, collagen, and, in older persons, calcium. Called also atheromatous plaque.

Maybe that's what he meant!
The whole human race needs a new "plaque" saying "out to lunch"!

Needs to wipe out 75% of population like past ones did. Time for a reboot. Best for humans and the planet.
Well...if you're willing to be the first in line to volunteer to be infected I might consider going along with it!
My short life and death are assured with or without plague so sure. Can still kill myself after others are infected. For s short time humans bettered ourself after the Black Death, while losing 75% will be horrible. It'll hopefully show those that survive the errors in our species way of life. Humans are too selfish and uncaring to continue. Aliens if they came here would likely just drop s few wmds on us to prevent any chance of our horror spreading outside the planet. Mean f**k we want to colonize Mars but why why spreads this crap that is human race.

Right. And which 75% do you think should be wiped out?
I am going to guess mainly the men.
You mean that he wants a plague that will make it easier for him to get a date by wiping out the competition?
That would have a certain logic.
Yes, basing this on previous posts
if that's the case, sly needs to find a hobby asap, iirc, he's been lamenting about his situation for quite awhile.
Sly, I'm your age and in your shoes, but certain things in life are simply not meant to be, at some point, you've got to let the notion go to focus on something bigger than a relationship.
Have you heard of MGTOW? (men going their own way) At some point, this kind of lifestyle is the obvious choice, because the thought of 'another' is going to turn into your prison if it isn't already.
Some MGTOW videos that have tremendously helped me let go.

[quote="VegetableMan"]Climate change will very likely diminish our numbers sufficiently by the end of this century. We don't need a "new plague. We are the plaque! [/quote
This. Man, I don't know why people are so optimistic

I have tons of hobbies. My life will, never be happy alone.
I'm not nor shall I ever be one of you who can be happy alone with their hobbies. Unl ss they event some emotion killing drug.
Worlds a big place full of all kinds of differences yet you can't see that people have different kinds and ways of being happy.no according to you and you like everyone finds happiness the same way every single person on this planet finds happiness through hobbies and objects blah blah blah.
Well 7billion people pretty much shows most peopl find happiness with others not being alone.
You people trying to make me be like you or be happy alone while you have bf/gf all you do is depress me and make me want to kill myself.
