Okay, I'm in a partial shutdown. This means, I'm like an overheated computer - drastically slowed down, trying to shut down most non-essential functions.

I have to manage but my executive functioning is seriously impaired on the shutdown.
I overstrained again. I knew I was low on spoons but there's always something that needs to be done right now. So now here I am - a slow ghost of my usual self.

Sorry you’re having such a rough time.

Think of it this way: you have lots of brains and I admire that.

I also experience low energy "Go slows" during a partial shutdown where every movement takes effort. It is like trying to do daily life wearing a suit of armour which is why it is exhausting.

How easy is it for people to be tested in Poland?

I really don’t like it that families are set apart because of COVID, and that people have to be sick alone.

It's not very hard, I believe. I paid for private testing before Christmas, so I had a bit less bothered conscience when meeting my elderly inlaws

My husband works remotely anyway. At the moment, we called off any remaining appointments and wait.

Sorry to hear, magz. When I experience the same, I consciously allow myself to dissasociate for a little while, and have a glass of wine, go under headphones and listen to music(with children to raise and advocate for in the past, I would do this at night time, when they were in bed ... in my time). That takes me to another place altogether, one where I find relief for a little while at least from changes and pressures in life, in order to face another day. Either that or a good long bubble bath with dimmer switch on lights set to low, or just candles. Hope you can rest and rejuvenate, and come out the other side smiling when the time is right.

Oh, goodness. It's no wonder you're undergoing this process. I'm sorry to hear that, and I hope things get better soon.

Lots of hugs my dear magz. It is so stressful that this pandemic goes on and on and on. Having children to care for during this time is even more worrisome.

When it gets like that for me, I find that looking only at the present works better than thinking, I just gotta catch a break!!

Do whatever you can to care for yourself each day.

So sorry for the stress you are going through.
Of course you feel exhausted; you are carrying a dreadful emotional burden.
You are going to handle this, and you are going to feel very proud of yourself.

So, slow down. Do less. Only do what you have to. Focus on spending time just doing some basic head clearing meditation and intentional breathing.

Like when ppl get sick or injured and we're less productive, we feel like we're not doing anything.. but healing is the thing we are doing.

Surviving a partial shutdown and coping with stress Is The Thing you are doing, so, even if fewer-to-zero non-essential tasks get crossed off your to-do list, so what? You're doing a thing right now.. making it through a partial shutdown & coming out the other side better prepared to deal with life. 8)

Thanks. I think I needed someone to tell me this.
I'm afraid the only non-essential activity I can give up right now is WP :/
Darn. But thanks

I think of WP as being “somewhat essential.”
