Having a rubbish day and it's only midday.

Had an argument with a stupid member of my staff today. I hate the way this guy always trys to boss me around despite the fact I'm his boss. Most of the time I would be cool, calm, and talk quietly & sensibly to calm the situation, but today I feel awful with cold & headache and so I just got annoyed about it.

When I stand my ground I invariably end up as the "bad guy" in the situation. Trouble is I always come out it looking like a wuss, because when I get annoyed I always come across as "upset" and "irrational". So even if I'm in the right, I always look like the one going off on one and in the wrong  .

Arrrgh!

-500

The company is axing people left and right. I've got 3 to 6 months and then out. I am going to have to retrain and begging people to hire me which is a major nightmare.

6: Not bad, actually. Fairly average I must say. This week's Life on Mars was good though.

4. doing a bit better. Still not "great." But, there's a 12-pack of cheap beer in the fridge and some garlic bread that's prepped for the oven. That could be up to a five if I don't get hit by any triggers tonight. Maybe even a six, but I'm not trying to get too optimistic. :P

-1. I had to do exams, and go to my psychiatrist, AND to my therapist. I'm extremely tired, but I don't want to sleep. And my legs hurt from walking home. I'm not used to exercise.

5. mmm....beer.

edit:
1. awareness.... I hate awareness past that which is desired. And alcohol doesn't help, it merely takes away some of the failsafes I have. Alcohol's great until I start to think. If I drink and I'm mentally aware...bad things.

You're right about that - it quite cheered me up yesterday, after a real crappy day. I liked the Camberwick Green start

I think today is a 7 - far better day than yesterday.
