You should dabble in Existentialism. Life is meaningless in the sense that it doesn't add up... for anyone. The fact is that you're here now and a lot of emphasis is placed on going with your feelings rather than over analysis. Quite the opposite of classical western philosophy in some ways.
"Existentialism for Dummies" is actually a good start. Also Sartre is quite accessible (I find)' Kirkegaard isn't.
