I’ve always had a strong impression that neurotypicals are just as capable with science or math as any of us, but most of them can’t be assed to understand them properly, because adhering strictly to logic is too boring for them, instead of getting their way in an argument by exploiting their social skills or personally attacking a human opponent. They’re also probably too busy enjoying an experience-rich and fulfilling life to make abstract concepts their sole company for long stretches of time, like I’ve often done.
