Not very tasteful I realize but I didn't want to accept her money yet she already had my bank details to send the money. What little money she has should go to supporting herself. Last night I apologized to her and she implied that she may still want to be with me again. I will take it slow.

Well, I hope you learned your lesson there. If you don't want it paid back, just say it like that end of story. That she is even willing to talk to you after saying something so degrading is nothing short of a miracle. If my Fiancee ever mention money or material goods in exchange for 'favours' I would know it would be time to break off the engagement.

Now, back to the topic at hand....

Yeah, Sly. You're a normal-looking 6 foot 3 guy.

I'm a normal-looking 5 foot 5 guy.

Yes, girls do like tall guys.

^They do? Really? I never noticed that.
I honestly don't care what my partner looks like as long as he is kind, honest, compassionate, understands me, and has integrity [and liking the same things I like is an awesome bonus!]

I would put at least liking one of the things you like and any more as a bonus ;)

Girls have a strong tendency to like guys who are taller than them.

Obviously, I'm generalizing.

After I was 17 or so, I stopped being upset about my height (most of the time).

My wife is about my height. Most of the girls I've dated have been something like 5 foot 2-5 foot 3.

I've been told quite a few times that I'm too short for somebody.

I like how short I am. It makes me feel like a Hobbit! :nerdy: :D

I'm nearly 6", my boyfriend is 5'8" and probably half my boyfriends have been shorter than me. Insisting on dating only taller than me guys eliminates about 85% of men right off the bat.

Girls who are short, like 5'2", always date guys taller than them, since pretty much Ann American men are the same height or taller.

And maybe it'd help if I wasn't apparently lacking in everything else. Most men are tall.
It's really more bothersome being tall means bumping head a lot and always being asked to get stuff down from shells.

It's true that there are some disadvantages to being tall. I'm 6'2 and only once have I dated a girl the same height as me. The rest were shorter, sometimes shoulder height. I would like to be with a girl who could look me in the eye but those girls are rare.

A lot of girls are just shoulder height to me. There's nothing wrong with them being short but it would be nice if we could see eye to eye. I find it strange that some girls who are 5'8 complain that they are too tall.

That happens. Just keep messaging other ladies.

It might not be a rejection of you. It might be the sheer volume of messages she gets.

I can vouch for what Kraftiekortie said.

I've sent many a message on various sites and get few responses from them. Maybe one out of ten respond.

It's like an entomologist hunting for a highly elusive specimen.

He's all the more excited when he finally nets the one he's after, which hasn't been seen in years and was thought to be extinct!

^It was kind of like that for me as well! Thankfully for me, the highly elusive being I found is not extinct, and we get along quite well! So remember: In the immortal words of Aragorn son of Arathorn, 'there is always hope'.
