Why was lit making you unhappy?
i love reading, but i dislike my own writing, especially when i'm working on it, it's like a struggle but not one i like. painting is a little like that too, but it fascinates me and so do computers, i just want to know about it, but literature : i don't want to know what i've got to say about any book or movie or whatever
(+next year we'd have two profs of whom i dislike their choise of books =about 15 to 20 books ugh)
plus i'm not interested in books that are about something that resembles my life, about all i know already, a book has to add something, show me something new, learn me something, and certainly not about whining people about society or their life (solutions ok! but not just dreadfully sum up what and with whom and when)
but now i'm whining i guess, fortunately i'm not a writer
Yeah, I hate writing critiques as well. In fact, I dislike media critics in general, so whenever I have to write a review of something it's usually pretty labored and reluctant. Totally agree with the second part also; people way wayyy too much about just being human. I'm reading so that I can get away from that, thank you..
