They said, "We just want to welcome you back, and start fresh"
then they started with veiled threats:
we just want you to think about taking extra shifts becaue in the past you have become tired and your performance has suffered.
and
we're not taking four or five hours to do an eval antmore; things have been efficient and we want to keep it that way.

nothing has changed. they just need to find something else to harrass me about. that's ok. it just means i am right.

The asses.

In your line of work, effective is key. Efficientcies my foot. Lets do away with the interviews all together!

Oh, well. Glad you see if for what it is.

Isn't there somewhere else that your skills and be use, Nueroman? They really don't deserve any consideration.

They definitely don't deserve me, but they aren't allowed to throw me out by saying that i am mentally ill either. for that they will have a nasty surprise when they get a call from the Commission Against Discrimination.

I am filing the complaint anyway. I don't care how fresh they want to start, there's still something rotten here.

My plants are all still alive. That is good. I am going to start bringing them home so they don't have to go through this again.
and I am going to start looking for a new job as soon as i feel calm enough to work on my resume
that should be by the end of the week.

Good for you, as BeeBee said, you're far too talented to deserve this kind of treatment

Day two.
i will know for sure their intentions after the first "supervision" meeting. imagine supervising someone who is about 50 IQ points above you. Not difficult unless you have to be the one in control and the important one and you are defensive about it.

then its impossible, because just by their existence, the other person wins. so you make stuff up.
this is what she did, and silly me, i thought she was just making mistakes, so i corrected her.

i think this is part of what made them resort to such outrageous lies.

i'll let you know how it goes.

ha ha!
i thought i was bad at interpersonal communications!
at least i know better than to tell someone who is already complaining to me that they are being unprofessional and inappropriate.
especailly if i am only a social worker and the person complaining is a psychiatrist.
yet i am penalized for doing my job. no. that is not correct. i am being penalized for being intelligent when others are not. i am being penalized for telling the truth when others want me to lie. i am being harrassed for standing up for myself and asserting that i did nothing wrong in a place where when you are told you did something wrong you are supposed to agree.

if i do not lose sight of this, then i will succeed.

not quite out of live in my underwear mode.
wonder why i let it get so bad.
why didn't i leave?
what do i do now?

my most favorite color cat.
thank you.

Day three, get to listen to the upper management defend the person who is offending providers and clients with her poor behavior.
both people filed complaints.
in the five years i have been here i have gotten about 6 thanks so much phone calls (recorded, there were more direct ones), 4 thank you cards, and two complaints - one from a woman who wrote a 10 page letter complaining that i should not allow her 18 year old daughter confidentiality, and another from a woman whose income comes from suing people.
in neither case was my behavior so poor that i passed judgement on someone or said something denigrating to them.

i am astounded that they would defend her and try to say that i am not competent to do my job.
she gets her support by lying.
i get mine from other honest people.

thanks, you all.

In the end, it will even out...she will get in trouble or maybe grow to hate herself. I've just seen things turn out right to many times to doubt that things do even out, in the end.

Your supervisors are "making their bed." Soon, once you leave, they will have to lay in them...ie supervisor the people getting the complaints.

As Vivi said, do what you can, up to the point you can. You can only control yourself and you have to live with yourself.

You are doing an amazing job...keep it up.

This angers me so much :x Stick to what you know is right! You're doing a great job.

Make them nervous & sweat a bit, for a change....tell them that an Autism Advocacy Group is watching this matter carefully, on your behalf, to make sure that there are no discrimination violations. It seems when businesses feel they have to be held accountable (to a organization or group) for their actions, they back off a bit. There's power in numbers.....they don't have to know we're mainly a support group of each other. I so wish we had a group that did just this - Watchdogs for autistics trying to keep their jobs (kinda like the NAACP for AS folk). It's not fair what businesses get away with...it's time for change!

I'm glad you are fighting to stay on although I know it hasn't been easy. (((hugs)))
