Oh, I just love those kind of non-choices :-/ Bummer, that. Okay, so you were not committed to a mental hospital and are not in the mental hospital now. Do you have a job? If not, will you be able to get one and hold it?

Hyperion, I work in a group home with emotionally disturbed/develpomentally/nuerologically challenged minors. WE CANNOT force medications down them. If they refuse, we can't force it down them....REGARDLESS. If they become out of control to where they are extremely dangerous, we can physically restrian them untill they are safe to release, but if it is evident that they are not going to calm down then we can call an ambulance and have them committed to a hospital, and then the doctors there can administer a shot, or whatever it is they administer. We cannot legally make them take their medications. As a matter of fact, we do have children who would have been medicated but they refused, as long as they can function, we won't press the issue. Those who can't, we don't keep. You said your DAD forced medication down your throat...Thats what you said. THAT IS NOT LEGAL IF YOU LIVE IN THE STATES, expecally sense you are an adult. You have legal recourses. Mental health advocates, Hospital social workers, and someone mentioned Adult Protection Services. You can also calmly say...."I don't like the way that med makes me feel, I won't take it" And maybe explore other options. If they try to get you to have a melt down so that you loose your right to choice, then you need to walk out....but do it calmly. And get the help of who was just mentioned. I'm telling you...I work with minor children...and if we can't force meds down them, then why would you be any different...you are an adult. WHERE ARE YOU FROM? WHAT STATE, WHAT CITY? I'll gladly make some calls for you, it would be annoynomous, and post the replys I get on this forum. I'll do it if you want. But only if you live in the USA. Ok...it's been offered.

Oh I want to add, even if a child is taken by ambulance to the hospital, if that child is calm by the time they reach the hospital....they can still refuse medication...and because they are no longer considered a threat to themselves or others, they won't be forced medication.

virtually. he hands its to me and watches me take it, with the implied understanding that its take it or not doing so would be bad, what that badness might be, is an open question, mostly likely he do everything possible to screw me over, and stick me somewhere bad.

any suggestion of not taking it makes him angry
conversley he seems to have forgotten about my thyroid hormone

All that matters is country. If it is USA, then I'd follow Paula's advice. Actually, I'm sure in most, if not all countries, what is happening to you is illegal. You need to find a representative and Family Services will assign you one.
