When EVERYBODY says that the world economy will collapse for good in the second half of 2010, you know they're right. What is there to do except give up and die? No food, no water, massive chaos with people slaughtering each other in the streets, and eventually nuclear war and the extinction of humanity, likely by 2012. With humanity becoming extinct, what's the point? Why was I born if only to knock around for 35 years and then die? It all seems so pointless. I really feel like killing myself. After all, I'm gonna be dead soon anyway, along with the rest of the planet.

Ok everyone lets get back to the op's needs, this is the haven you know. :?

I'm sorry your depressed. I'm glad you've been able to look on the bright side of this bad situation. I share your views on this subject. I hope your life gets better. I am so sorry your going through so much.

Your whole life hasn't been a waste. You shouldn't believe all these people who are claiming these types of things. In my opinion they are looking for their 15 minutes of fame and they find it every decade or so in the one vulnerability that everyone has in common - we are all living on a planet that could end at any moment.

Just because we live on earth it doesn't mean that we should feel scared or depressed about our existence (or lack of it). In the end we all die, sure, but that doesn't mean you should just kill yourself and get it over with. I'm sure there are things that you want to do in life that you haven't yet done. Do them while you are alive, while you have the opportunity because one day if we do enter "the greatest depression", you'll be regretting it if the world as we know it does end and the option of doing the things you could have done before is no longer available.

I'd tend to agree with Brittany2907 here, we're all going to die someday or another. So in a sense the worlds and existences we live are damned from the moment we are born. I suppose it depends on what you believe, I know your journey won't end when you "die" but it's up to you to douse your fear with whatever you believe up until the moment you do begin anew someplace else because I'm afraid unless you choose to blaze your own spiritual path you won't be able to see beyond "death".

No, I wouldn't want the world to end. It might be a horrible, frightening experience happening before we all die, like a nuclear bomb, ice age, or a killer disease.

I don't want the world to end. All that work everyone has put into society, and it is all completely going to waste. Now it's all left to rot - and although we won't know about it being dead, it's still a dreadful, scary thought while you're still alive.

It depresses the s**t out of me.

society is already rotted out, from the inside. The work that people put in has already went to pwaste, so really.

2012 may have ANOTHER TYPE of change, NOT the type mayans think about it(but I dont' have any thing against them at all). I dreamed one night in my sleep that in 2012, there's a global "green fever" hwere everybody goes berserk of being as green as possible. I hope that becomes true because I've already got a headstart and I don't want to waste it
