So, I finally requested a call back from NHS Direct yesterday morning. Waited a couple of hours, then they called me just after I got in the shower, and I missed it :(.

Maybe another day.

Good. About time. NHS direct are never any help. People have rung up with serious problems (ie. a child with all the symptoms of meningitis) and been told that its 'probably nothing'. A lot of people have died or been left with long term health problems due to poor advice from them. On the other hand, you ring up to ask about that small itching sensation you have on your toe and they tell you to go to A&E! Better to just see a GP.
