Am I too much of a DORK even for WP?

If I ask genuine questions I get called a Troll, If I post about my interests nobody else responds.

I'm starting to think Aspergers for me means being clinically unlikable.

I highly doubt you're too big a dork. It's cool dude, people don't get acknowledged sometimes. The only people who regularly get responses are the big names here, but no big deal.

This is unrelated but there was a time that I felt that I was too old fashioned for WP, because I have a favourite rock band from the 60s that isn't The Beatles. I felt that I was asked intrusive questions about fitting into the NT world which is a waste of my time, with that special interest. I've almost left because of it. Well, I have two things to say. Long live The Kinks and long live Mick Avory. I'd better watch my back. I might get cornered.

@OP,

I know exactly what you mean. I feel like that a lot too.

Sometimes when I get really fired up about something in an "aspie-ish" way, about something being illogical, I assume that if I post on here about it everyone will agree with me. But often they don't see things the same way.

I have started threads about things I think are illogical like HTML checkboxes and "24/7" and then I am really surprised when people are a bit hostile. (It seems hostile to me, but who am I to judge? Maybe I'm being paranoid).

I have to remind myself sometimes that not all Aspies are the same.

What was in the post about HTML checkboxes? Inquiring coders want to know...

It's here

What sort of coder are you btw? I do php (badly). (Is it possible to code PHP well? Hmm ... I think I feel a thread coming on). I want to learn more, especially about OO concepts, but after working all day my brain feels too shriveled up to learn anything.

Oh yeah, the annoying way checkboxes are passed back in form submits. I hate that too.

I work mostly in Perl these days...occasionally some PHP (and yeah, I think it's possible to do good PHP, but most PHP code I've seen is horrible) and unfortunately, ColdFusion (or as I call it, the Duplo Blocks of programming languages.)

And yeah, this might be better off as a separate threat, or PMs, to avoid annoying the original poster. :)

If it makes you feel any better someone gets accused of being a troll every 5 minutes. I called aspie guy a troll when he's probably just misguided.

The internet is silly.
