Well OP... I have no idea about how people here may or may not see you. I have not been around much, and even if I was I am far from observant when it comes to other people. On that part, I am of no help.

Now for family... family can suck. I do not know what it is, but sometimes some people will take s**t out on those they are closest to. I do not think most of them do it to be horrible... I think they just forget that words can hurt, that venting can hurt, that there is a better way to blow off steam than to lash out on those they are close to. From what I am told, it is just that... venting. I am also told that these people who lash out like that do not mean for others to take it personally... which confuses the hell out of me. I mean, if someone is yelling and fussing at me and tells me how I am an ass, how can I not take it personally? They are saying it to me after all. But again, I have been told it is not personal, just venting out of frustration or whatnot. So I will say to you what has been said to me, they likely do not mean it, they just happen to love you enough to blow off steam in your direction. Sucky way to say I love you, eh? Gotta love family...

Anyway, I hope things look up for you soon. And shame on anyone who gives you crap for an imaginary world. Imagination is a thing to be cherished. I say kudos to you for that.

The only thing that really made me angry towards you was when you tried to enlist the people from wrongplanet to attack some trolls at deviant art. Then the trolls from there came here and attacked you. Thanks for bringing that trash over here. Like we don't have to deal with enough @ssholes in real life for you to bring that trash over here. All this because they did not like your art. Learn to take criticism like a man or give it up or even better improve your art. I sent you a pm offering to send you some art books I have collecting dust that offer still stands if you want them.

ahh, thats what I though you were referring to at one point because you posted bout it in the past. and FYI I haven't hated on ya, If I did I wouldn't have given advice to ya both recently and in the past.

I've been on the internet long enough to know inter-website flamewars never end well. It ends up being a lot of work for the moderators of both sites.

When I had my photography on DA, I stayed off the forums. I wouldn't hang out on the DA forums if I was offered money to do it. Not DA, not Youtube, not ebaumsworld, not etsy, not artfire, NONE of those places.

I pick forums that cater to a very specific interest. I'm here because of my diagnosis of AS and parenting my AS son. I also get a kick out of paranormal stuff so I'm on a forum devoted to just that. You get the point. The more specific you go with your interests, the less "wild cards" you're going to run into who will irritate you.

I also agree. We should all be able to talk about what we want, if we wish to without harsh judgement.

I support your republic.

Never got the impression you were hated here Ackman. There were a few people who criticised your art in the art forums, but even then, they were mainly just trying to help.
