I think I was nearly raped.

In my experience with school girls they were always far more playful than malicious. If you can't tell the difference you probably shouldn't judge them too harshly.

I am really sorry that happened to you.

What happened was definitely sexual assault, irrespective of the age of the offenders. You did the right thing by going to the authorities.

I don't think he is judging them harshly. He is upset. I think those girls were wrong, period. And they would probably have had a fit if some guy grabbed one of them by the ass. The OP has a legitimate reason to be upset!

I meant people saying she should suffer. Retribution for playfulness doesn't make the world better.

Yip - and if a man had stuck his finger in her cooch, that would be rape - no question about it. If a girl did it to a guy, it would be harassment that would get a telling off.

These double standards are awful double, ya know. ;)

When I was at school, with all the teasing, fighting and testing of boundaries, I never once sensed a malicious intention from another kid. Some of the teachers were harmfully insane. I think you have to spend years internalising your inadequacies before you become dangerous. But obviously OP has the right to feel however he wants.

Yep, they are. But there is a growing awareness of men being abused by woman. Once I volunteered at a women's domestic violence shelter, and a guy called the hotline wanting to shelter there. His wife was beating the crap out of him on a regular basis. :(

In my opinion, this sounded like they did this deliberately to make a laughing stock out of you. You did exactly the right thing.

It was honestly no more playful than if a boy did it to a girl (in which case, the boy would have been thrown in juvie!)

This is why government 'schools' (aka indoctrination prisons) shouldn't exist.

So my kids should be denied an education because some kids are a**holes to others? My kids have gone to public schools most of their lives. They went to private school for a few years, but it was too expensive. They have never had much in the way of problems there. Sure, they had the usual stuff, but nothing upsetting to them. My youngest son gets in a lot of fights at school, but that happens. He gets in fights anyway. Parents have options. Homeschool, public school, or private school. Sometimes I dream about boarding school lol. But, if a parent doesn't want to send their kid to public school, they don't have to. We should always have the choice of sending our kids to public school if we want to.

The behavior isn't cute and unfortunately due to societies double standards, if the same were to be done back to them, society tends to believe the woman.

Here in Sweden, the option of homeschooling has recently been removed by the putrid centre-right government. It's sickening of them, really, and the majority of the blame goes to 'Folkpartiet'. That same party also wants to, among other things, financially punish pupils that are forcily sent to this prison time, if they skip school even slightly - like if they are bullied. The option of homeschooling also is removed from these youths, to make matters even worse. And when they fail in school, due to bullying, as an example, they should never, ever be given a proper second chance, by bettering their grades. By looking at the patterns, the current centre-right government, here, clearly is supporting bullies, are bullies, themselves, and want to crush the lives and possibilities of those who are targeted by these things. If you ask me, many of those in the current government should be imprisoned for their offensive behaviour.

Sorry, I had to get that out. I agree, school is a prison that should be abolished. I know full well that if I had been able to just stay at home, doing what I knew best, instead of ever going to school, I would have been a successful artist, by now. Not even my great skills in English are any thanks to school - I am entirely self-taught. All school ever did to me was waste my time and make me depressed.
