it takes me 'til late february or march before i get used to the new year. maybe if it were a gold-plated year i'd feel differently, but so far the only years to come along have been made of what drops out the back of a horse, but painted bright colors.

I only start feeling alright/enjoying the year once March arrives too. Then by the end of September is when it all starts feeling bad again. I could really do without October-February. Each month I hate has something 'big' in it. October - Halloween. November - Bonfire night. December - Christmas/New years eve. January - New years day. February - Valentines day. Luckily for me I don't have to go through as many holiday type days as Americans do.

Valentines day is just as depressing for me as Christmas and New year are. It's not that I feel lonely or jealous of couples. I just hate how much of a rip off it all is and the fact loads of couples choose to flaunt their relationship for just one day :/ It's all too in your face just like New years eve is. Ridiculous.
