The psych ward doesn't solve anything. It just puts off the inevitable and runs up a big bill (depending on the health care system in your country) that will eventually need to be repaid. I would do as the others suggested and go to university for 5 days a week. At least it's a start to getting away from your controlling, abusive family.

Don't feel alone in not being able to get a job. It's not a matter of aspie vs. NT but rather the problems in the global economy that have been poorly dealt with by inept leaders. Try not to see yourself as an aspie or any other label. You are a human being as deserving of respect and love as anyone else in this world but you have to learn to demand it or no one will ever give it to you. Yeah, you're probably a little on the odd side, but so are plenty of other people. You just have to find the right ones to socialize with who will respect you as an equal. Just look out for the self serving narcissists that we aspies seem to attract. Trust me, you are better off alone than being used by their kind.
