If I was religious, maybe Jesus is trying to tell you something?

I'm not religious but maybe you truly feel you're worth a damn to the world. I'd capitalize on that sentiment and try to do some groundbreaking, life-changing stuff like...

Never mind, won't get political.

I'll let you finish that sentence based off your beliefs.

Does anyone ever get this feeling, too?

I feel like if I save the world, then all the people will look up to me. That's how big the feeling is for me here.

Quote:
I get that. Or rather, I am a Cassandra: I tell the truth but nobody believes me. I spent 30 years finding simple answers to the world's problems. And now that I have the answers nobody cares. I discover, too late, that truth (in the abstract sense) matters very little to people. The only ideas that matter to people are:
1. what others are doing
2. what benefits them in the short term...

It is like The Book of Tao said:

"My words are easy to understand
and easier to put into practice.
Yet no one in the world seems to understand them,
or be able to apply what I teach."

equestriatola: I have two visions about this:

1-I see the world by the eyes of Richard Dawkins. All is evolution, even the information. This is also a depressing view, or strange at last. Difficult to understand(there is something to understand here?), but not difficult to explain.

2-I see the world by the Taoist's point of view. Like in the butterfly dream:

"Once upon a time, I, Chuang Tzu, dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of following my fancies as a butterfly, and was unconscious of my individuality as a man. Suddenly, I awoke, and there I lay, myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming that I am now a man."

Sometimes I read the book "The book o chaos and it's virtue"(I do NOT recommend this book!). This destroy everything I believe. This makes me start everything again, from the beginning.
So, I see now that the world is chaos. The human beings don't see this. We need to have the illusion of control. Then, we create conspiracy theories, to explain the last "crisis". We need to have the illusion that we control everything.

So, equestriatola, you are 3 things at the same time:
->A simple bacteria that evolved.
->A Supernatural being dreaming about a monotone world.
->A variable, in the "ether", the chaos, not believing but existing.

So, you are a simple human being dreaming that you are a god, or a god dreaming that you are a simple human being?

See the world as you want to see.

"YOU ARE THE CENTER OF YOUR OWN UNIVERSE.
YOU ARE THE MASTERS OF YOUR OWN UNIVERSE. BE TO YOUR OWN UNIVERSE WHAT GOD IS TO THE WHOLE UNIVERSE AND TRY TO BE AS MUCH AS GOD AS YOU CAN. Oh, and one more thing, if you think God is an old man with beard, then you're a moron. I don't care how you call it, the God I speak of is beyond any religion, being the MIND THAT CREATED THE PERFECTIONIST SYSTEM WE CALL LIFE."
