 On your desktop as a joke, huh? Bronies.........

This reminds me of when I used to live with my old roomate who was a furry (full suit and all.) He would always say it wasn't a sexual thing but it was hard to believe that with all the anthropomorphic wolf porn prominantly displayed in his room and on his desktop.

I wouldn't be that ashamed. Everyone's a perv about something. Some fetishes are just way funnier than other.........

*nods* Good point I guess. No matter how embarrassing one's fetish might be, there's always something worse.

What I'm more upset about, though, being a Brony and all, is that I gave my fanbase a bad reputation by doing this. Here I am, living for the day when the general public can see that Bronies aren't just a bunch of sexually repressed man-children who still live in their parents' basements jerking off to characters that belong to a show meant for little girls, and an incident like this isn't helping our case! Not all Bronies are like this; they're also responsible for creating some of the best fan art, fan fiction, fan music, and fan videos the internet has ever seen.

Here's a staggerin' statistic for you all:

the Star Wars franchise is 36 years old;
the Star Trek franchise is 47 years old;
the Doctor Who franchise is almost 50 years old.

That's a total of 132 years to allow for fan created content. (Art, fiction, music, and videos)

Well, in only TWO years and three seasons, the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic franchise has spawned more fan-created material then ALL of those above three franchises COMBINED!
Quite impressive, huh? And here I am, with pony porn on my laptop, ruining the stigma of those wonderful efforts.

I....seem to have gone way off tangent from the original point of this thread; my own embarrassment at being exposed as a pervert in front of my mum. Anyways, still about a week and a half before I can get Faust back (my laptop...I named it after the creator of the newest MLP franchise...how ironic). I'll keep you all updated in case of further developments.

Over and out.

Sorry, but nobody will ever take Bronies seriously anyway so I doubt you did much to hurt your group's reputation. Might as well just grow a thick skin and embrace it rather mope about being some ridiculed minority.

Meh, you do have a point. Many people in my life have said that I need to grow thicker skin and not care what others think about me or the things I love.

But I wouldn't say never, Geeko. Look at the Trekkies; they've also had their fair share of ridicule and misunderstanding throughout their lifespan, and they're still around today. The same can be said of Whovians (pretty much a required love for anyone born with Asperger's), and they've been around three years longer. So who knows? Maybe ten or twenty years down the line, Bronies, while they still might be ridiculed, people will at least acknowledge the power of the fanbase, and that they won't be going away any time soon.

Love and tolerance, my good man. Love and tolerance. ^_^

Right now my desktop picture is a naked but nonexplicit (no parts showing) sexy picture of Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha kissing.

Im part of the Anime fan base and I watch my fair share of erotic anime stuff. My desktop however doesnt have any of that saved though just in case something did happen to my computer and id have to have the computer looked at. My wallpaper has a samarai chick sitting on a roof with a katana shes fully clothed though so no worries! Worse they might think of the OP is that the OP may be a clopper though!

Nah, not that strange. As long as its tasteful, it's cool.

Anyways, final update time. I'm typing this on my now fixed laptop. Yay!

I thought it would take the full two weeks, but it only took one! I picked it up yesterday morning without too much of a fuss...it was a different rep, thank Kami for that. No mention of my pony porn was made...so I guess all that worry was for nothing. And you wanna know the real kicker?

When I turned it back on after being away for 2 weeks...it wasn't factory restored...it was the same as I'd left it...Rule 34 desktop theme and all! WOW. I guess they were convinced it was only a superficial problem, and repaired the LCD screen. Now that I look back on the whole thing, I can laugh about it...to think I thought the cops would come visit me because I was a perv for MLP porn...how ridiculous. :P

That's my last word regarding this issue...and btw...happy 100th post, me. :D

Damn, I just had me one HELL of an embarrassing morning, one which I hope doesn't end with me getting a visit from the paddy wagon.

You see, my laptop broke last week, so I went with my mother to best buy to have it serviced, and it was under a year's protection for accidents. Well, the man took a look at it, and wanted to run a check to see if it was only my screen damaged, and not the internal workings. So he hooked up the laptop to a regular monitor, and had me type in the password to enter my desktop screen. I did...and...well...

Let's just say that the desktop image that was still saved before the accident was there...a picture of Shining Armor and his sister Twilight Sparkle in a...compromising position not appropriate for a pg-rated store. I VERY quickly shut down the computer and tried to save face by sayin' Well, at least the laptop itself works; it was just the screen that was broken. but the 'damage' had already been done. Now both he and my mom probably think I'm a pervert! but at least I had the smarts to not keep dwelling on it and making it worse.

Anyways, the man said it'll be at most two weeks before I can get it back good as new. I really, REaLLY hope that the Squad doesn't do a hard target search for any and all my embarrassing files and pictures, primarily the collection of MLP erotica I have *blushes hard*. but that's CAKE compared to what I had to endure on the walk back to the car. My mom, in pure defensive mode, to keep herself from havin' a conniption, made a joke about how she'd have to change her license plates so that we don't get stopped by the cops. Damnit, what the HELL was I thinking making that desktop image as a joke?

Well, now I get to be paranoid for a whole two weeks, hoping and praying that I don't get a visit from the police over all my 'pony pornography'. And chalk up yet another reason why my mother has the right to be disappointed in me. Of all the worst things that could happen, this ranks in my top three.

Well, we'll just see what happens, won't we?

Why me? :(

Fluttershy11

I don't think that is grounds to disown you. As long as it's not child pornography, bestiality, rape, violence, etc then it's nothing to worry about. Oh, and I mean actual child pornpgraphy, etc, not drawings. I assume that mere portrayals of these concepts are not illegal in your country (but I suppose it depends on the law). Last time I checked, clopping is not illegal in any country but I could be mistaken.

Indeed. If this experience has taught me anything, it's to always keep a neutral desktop wallpaper, because you never know the next time your PC is gonna break.

Well. I mean. There is a simple way to avoid something like this happening in the future.

It is called deleting the underage pony porn.

Hopefully your computer works fine now!

Porn (all types) isn't meant to be prominatly displayed anywhere........You should keep it tucked away in a private folder like everyone else.

Um...it wasn't underage pony porn. It was incest-themed pony porn. :P

I don't look at or save 'underage' pony porn period, because I fear even just drawn images of such acts will warrant an arrest if I'm found out.

Your assumption was tasteless and rude, Kael. I may be a pervert, but there ARE some things that I never touch.

This. If I was your mum I wouldn't even say anything at all about it.
