I think I have a good one. I have a part time job at the library, which I love. I have my family, my pets and correspond regularly with friends on my cat site. At home, I have plenty to occupy myself. Many people might think my interests are weird, but at least I have interests.

I sure that term, "having a life," wasn't started by apies. Literally, I think I have a good life, but if having "a life" is considered as one with constant social advancing, then, no, I don't have one. The internet is my life, in more way than one. :(

for the most part i work and do school (kinda same thing)... ~12hrs a day/7 days a week (well usually 5-6 on weekends)

then i come home and play WoW or surf WP or watch TV or draw or write... and play with my 2 kitties.

i live alone and have to take care of everything myself.

most the friends i made (classmates in my program, i should say) when i first got here, have given up on tryin to get me to do stuff with them. but i know that if i'm feeling like i shouldn't particularly be alone... that i can always walk to their house and have a beer and hang out.

i just don't... usually.

i think if i weren't so over-worked and generally tired all the time... that i might muster the gumption to build up my life.

so what's this count as? a nerdy workachlic?

I have been rather inactive here for a few weeks. I don't know so many of the new members and don't know why other older members are upset by some posts? :?

I feel like life has been passing me by.

If you notice in that thread two of the people posting in it are now banned . They were likely the same member. The thread was a direct result of that one person's actions.

Question from the floor here... I go to work every weekday (except holidays). I own my own home (okay, it's an apartment condo), and since I live alone I have to pay all my own bills, shop for my own groceries, do my own laundry... Most of my offline social life involves my weekend RPG gaming group.

So, do I have a life or not?

Everything matches me except I don't have a offline social life at all. I don't know what a RPG gaming groupd is but I know I'm not involved in one or anything like it. So, the answer to your question is yes, you do.....I don't.

I rate whether or not I "have a life" based on things I would like to do, and what progress I have made.

I always like to have some kind of project going.

If you showed my life to most people, they'd say "no". But the funny thing, is that I'm quite content a majority of the time.

The difficulties I have, are simply the result of having to work a day job e.g.:commute - dealing with people on my walk to the train station & people at the train station/on the train, work - dealing with the muttering of coworkers who equate quiet with hostile/crazy.

I have a small group of friends, all NT's, who help me get out by driving me over to their house so we can all hang out somewhere besides my place. They know I'm different (I've discussed it with them), and for the most part are understanding, although they do get frustrated by my lack of wanting to pick up the phone to phone order a pizza (or answer the door when it comes ).

Yes Baz, Machine was right, sorry I missed this thread, I was kind of 'out of it' last week, partly because of the hassle here last week partly other weird stuff freaking me out.
I'm just going to take to the hills next time, or try to cultivate a serene detachment. I pick up other people's vibes too easily, that's a problem. Thanks for your concern

Anyway, back to the topic, have I got a life. Well, maybe :) Not a 'successful' life in terms of making lots of money, I gave up a well-paid job because it was very stressful and started doing a voluntary job teaching literacy and numeracy to adults on a one-to-one basis which I really enjoyed. When that scheme finished I became interested in art so that's what I'm into now, plus going to art class, so life is happening and heck, it's turning out not to be so darned bad after all. :)
(Touching wood as I say that, I feel as though I'm inviting a huge foot to stamp on my head, a la Monty Python!)
