According to Ripleys's believe it or not,in Northern Japan the apple farmers use turkeys to guard the crops from monkeys.Maybe that's why they don't gobble them up for the holidays.
I won't have any family here for the rest of the holidays.Son will be out of town on a job.
Weather permitting,I'll most likely just build a fire outside and celebrate the Solstice with some wine and the stars.

wish a few of us could prevail upon you for some company.

Really sorry you all were alone for your holiday.....I do know what that's like.

In fact, just now I'm planning my (busy!) schedule. I return home from a seminar overseas on 21 Dec., to then move on approximately 30 Dec. (unsure of the exact date yet). I'll have about 10 days to get it all done! So, I'll be spending Christmas packing up moving boxes. And I have to re-home my fish aquarium. Sigh.

I know, we all should share a commemorative turkey, for both your Thanksgiving and the Christmas season! Merry Christmas all, even if we're alone.

Clear tape was on sale, supposedly for all those holiday packages. I bought loads of tape! Not for Christmas packages, but instead for moving.

If I actually had a place during Christmas (instead of a barren flat with cardboard boxes), I'd invite you to dinner:
