Your OP to me, was very emotionally charged. The only way I (as an Aspie bloke) can effectively deal with emotional issues is to step back, step away from the situation until my head is in order. If you're like me you will make bad decisions if you let your emotions cloud your rational thinking. Calm down first, at least sleep on the subject or give it a couple of days. There's nothing stopping you approaching this again when you are better fed and rested.

Use this place as a replacement or a holiday from your other forum. If you offend or annoy anyone, there are people here that are thoughtful enough to point that out to you without slapping you around the face with a bat.

Probably true, but the people here aren't dicks.

I had problems like that on other forums too OP. I was never banned but the members petitioned for me to on one forum I used alot for a few years. Looking back I can understand some of why i had the problems I did. Me analyzing & sorting things out when others gave me advice came off as me arguing. I came off as arguing when I thought I was having a light debate. Some of the things I said got misinterpreted & I misunderstood others due to Aspie/NT communication issues. I posted about the same stuff a lot; like obsessions & getting hung up on problems. There lots of other reasons too but this may give you an idea of possible problems us Aspies can have on other forums. I left after other members kept flaming my post when they never got in trouble for it but I did for trying to defend myself or figure out what I was doing wrong. I eventually found Wrong Planet & I'm doing aLOT better here than other forums. Most of the members are pretty accepting & I grew & improved after reading & learning various tips & things from other Aspies.

Ah I see. I can generally stay rational for an online situation, though I can go "tunnel vision" and miss the forest for the trees.

In a way I've already started.

By the way, something's up on the forum. It's possible to see what other people are doing, and I've noticed one of the moderators is going right through my post history...

I'll also be phoning the doctor pretty soon to try and set up an appointment about relieving these stress-symptoms, though I am quite calm now, but something's happening on that forum alright...

@nick007

Thank you for the post. Unfortunately, your experiences don't really mirror mine.

Nice to have a little confirmation on my expectation I'll do fine on this forum though.

And at the end of the day, if you could get kicked off this forum for social awkwardness, I imagine like half the place would get cleared out!

I've got some Mirtazapine anti-depression tablets. Going to take the first one now. Anyone else have any experience with these?

Take them before bed, they can make you drowsy.

It might take a couple of weeks for them to kick-in properly, and your dosage might have to be steadily increased (hopefully not). When your doc agrees to stop the medication, you will need to be weaned-off gradually.

Mirtazapene was the first antidepressant that I tried that didn't have depressing side-effects  this was after a year of trial and error trying increasingly more expensive meds.

How are you feeling today? Have you managed to stay off the other forum?

Yes, that's what I have done. I will be going to bed.

Didn't know about the weaning. I'm told if it's having little/no effect after a week I can double the dose myself.

And whoa, I think I'm feeling the drowzy! 7 hours sleep in 3 days, it could have a powerful effect on me!

I was depressed once before and did fine with the medication, I hope I do fine with this one too.

Very bad experience with the forum today, mixed with pretty good.
