I wrote you a fairly long post but the internet ate it. Let me just say that I just went through it and am still going through it and for me, talking about it is the only thing that helps. I know what you are going through, and while I have no words of wisdom, I do have an ear that's glad to listen and eyes that are glad to read if you want to just talk about it or ramble on about it with not even a point in mind. That helps. It does. Sometimes it's the only thing that helps.

You'll need that even more after it happens. I'm not your mother, but I'm very motherly and anyone more than 20 years younger than me fits into the "kid category" in my head, and I'm motherly and concerned for them.

You can call me literally anytime, and if you have lost my number (the 299 one) then PM or FB me and I'll give it to you.

I'm so, so sorry you are going through this. (((((big hugs))))

Sorry to hear :(

I think losing a parent is one of the hardest things we have to contend with in this life (definitely the hardest thing I've ever gone through), but all you can really do is be grateful for the time you have left and try to make the most of it, and make as many happy memories as you can with your Mom while she's still here with you, that's important I think as those memories will help carry you through life.

Again, very sorry to hear. Take care!

So sorry, AspieOtaku.....I'm sorry about losing your mother. I do not ever say much (ever) but I lost my parents as child, as some on the Wrong Planet already know. I have 'orphan pains'* still - like today. Am desperately unsettled just now. Anyhow, I all the best regardless of what happens. You are a favourite member and we all love you. I have difficulty expressing emotion though. :flower:

* I cried in the post office this morning.
