Are you interested in reading books that might help your mindset?

I've read many. A few of my top reco's would be:

Feeling Good by Dr. David Burns - it's basically the background info & self administered written CBT. I learned a lot from it.

The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle - basically, live in the present moment w/ your thoughts & actions focused on the here and now and you'll be a much happier person not thinking about or dwelling on past experiences or feeling anxious about the future.

A New Earth: Awakening to your life's purpose by Eckhart Tolle - a more in depth sequel to The Power of Now that builds on everything in it. I enjoyed it a lot more than the first book, but the first book is still very valuable reading.

I have had a hard time reading lately; it's really hard for me to stay focused on it, even if it directly pertains to my interests. I don't really know what the problem is. I think maybe I'm just stressed because of all the major changes in my life lately.

Hopefully one I get settled in my apartment I'll be able to focus a bit more, and then I could give these a try.

I get that. I've had a lot of free time lately and have a stack of books I'd like to read but I haven't been reading them. Once I get back into book reading mode I'm sure I'll blast through them with ease.

I hope that once things settle down for you that you do give these a read. The first is a little more clinical style self help book - but very very valuable learning. The other two are a little more.. new-agey, with plenty of anecdotes and little stories to keep you entertained while learning from Eckhart's teachings.

Feel free to pm me about them if you have any questions about them or want to chat about them while, or after, you read them. 8)
