Hopefully they come to their senses and beg for you to come back, or better yet, you get employed by another company that treats you better so you can rub it in their face.
Happened to me twice, more or less. I had a temporary job and they wanted to offer it to me permanently, but when I told them I was planning to go to university they told me "then we wouldn't want to hire you anyway, you are too educated" (????). Another time I wanted to apply to a crappy job and they told me they were looking for high school dropouts specifically, and I couldn't apply because I had a high school diploma (?????). Both times my highest education was a high school diploma with decent grades, nothing fancy. Of course in reality just having a high school diploma means you are severely underqualified for a lot of jobs but these "human resource" people live in a fantasy land.
