I don't know what I expected. If it can go wrong, it will go wrong, and in the worst possible way. That's my luck. The guy didn't even show up, I sat in that sketchy little waiting room for 45 minutes for nothing. Now I have to go back to voc rehab so I can find out who dropped the ball and then wait another month for someone to probe my brain. I hate this

So after talking to voc rehab today, it turns out he did show up, just 15 minutes late. :x I left maybe 5 minutes after the appointment time because another one of the Psychologist there told me she hadn't seen at all that morning. Made me think if he wasn't there yet than he probably wasn't going to show up. No matter, it was a good thing. His specialty was in an area other than Autism. Apparently my first diagnosis was given when I was 18 actually, October of 2012, so it is good enough, someone dropped the ball there. But apparently it has another problem, the person I saw listed no forms of accommodations that I should seek on that report, though it was super detailed , so I need to get reevaluated for that reason now. Now I'm trying to track down the person I was supposed to see in March because they were an Autism specialist. Been mishandled my entire life and it's starting to get really old. So here's to another month or two of waiting and all the anxiety that will come with it. The SDR people are also pushing for the idea of me taking medication and I'm really unsure about that.

Apparently my old report also said I have a "superior" IQ, something the SDR people kept repeating when they looked at it, :|. It bugs me when people bring that up.

Don't let anxiety get the better of you. Take each day as it comes! I am not taking any meds at the moment as I started a new work which is completely different to before, and since we only have a full time staff of around 10 people can't be disappearing to the clinic all the time. But I was managing OK before, and especially in the dark days some years ago when I was battling with PTS, and also landed up staying in a shelter for two years, which was before I was diagnosed. In my case, diagnosis is the best thing which could have happened! Wish I could have been diagnosed at age 16 or 18 like so many here, so suitable plans could have been made!

I have also been told I have superior IQ. Not that it helps in the real world of course...

Anyhow, the medical pros are there to help you so I wish you all the best, and that you can work through your frustrations.
