Oh, I see what you mean, taz. I meant more the Italian gore films of the late 1970s/early 1980s and old horror films like that. Have you seen Saw (or its sequels)?

I've seen Saw and Saw 2. My favourite part about them, for me, is the nastily inventive 'traps' and them being realised. Like that one in Saw 2 with the head/nail clamping thing. Eugh...
