To tell you the truth, I wouldn't know about the general knowledge of Walmart associates, since I never have much contact with them. I go and buy my stuff, and check out. Most of the checkers at m local Walmart are fairly competent, if somewhat glum. (Hey, wouldn't you be?)

The one thing that truly annoys me is the low number of checkers at the counters during peak periods. I guess they'd rather inconvenience their customers, rather than pay more employees.

I said it because he's always telling me everything is my fault. But apparently saying he says that is a lie.

Another lie. You said that I said that the bad customer service Olive Oil Mom had experienced at Wal-Mart was her fault. Quoted here for posterity ...

Get your facts straight, and stop lying.

...

Now, can we please re-rail this thread back to the original topic?

I should probably stay out of this but what did sly279 do wrong? He didn't attack anyone. I am confused, maybe you did suggest that Fnord and maybe you didn't but is it against the rules to be confused on what someone is saying? Don't pick on sly279, lets get along and if someone doesn't see your opinion, move on to someone who does. This thread is a whole lot of opinion and no one has really been hurt so why is everyone on edge? Calm down, we all see things in different ways. Why can't we accept that and move on?

Everyone drop it, respect it and move on.

The bigger Wal-Mart stores are not places where I like to go. The smaller Wal-Mart grocery and pharmacy combos are much better, except for the preponderance of those stupid self-checkout lanes. I used to service them, and they really are less reliable than the average Wal-Mart worker. I have no idea why self-checkout lanes are still around.

I didn't meant only limited to Walmart, you imply everything that happens to a person is in their control and their fault. By that logic if one gets bad customer service that is their fault and not the employee.

I did not mean it literally that you said that very thing, otherwise I'd f*****g quoted you which I didn't.

I did not lie because I never said you said that exact thing. I said you think which you seem to at least with me that one is in control of everything that happens around them and with their life, I took you idea and applied it to this situation.

I refer to going to Wal-Mart as walking into the the belly of the beast, it's annoying that you are basically forced to go there but there is no point resisting just like products of PRC. It's basically the only store in the town my parents live in.

I only see self-check out at Wal-Mart when I go to the suburbs, it is basically legalized stealing if you the type of person that does that(I'm not) I like self-check out tho but Wal-Mart's seem to screw up a lot, social anxiety I guess but those cashiers really are lacking not only in intelligence but customer service as well as they all seem absolutely miserable. I don't blame them to be honest, I've known people that have worked at Wal-Mart and it's an awful place to work. I heard they drug test you like every month which seems insane to me.

Well, people do work at Wal-Mart because they have few, if any, other options. Like in OOM's town, the nearest town of significant size is over 40 miles away, and the extra money that those people might make getting jobs in that other town would be eaten up in transportation costs.

That's why people's choices early on matter - staying in school, getting good grades, and staying out of trouble means less likelihood of being stuck in some Podunk town working at Wal-Mart for minimum wage.

(Note to OOM: Some Podunk towns are very nice. I'm sure yours is too!)

This is valid but somethings are best left unsaid. He dropped it, maybe you should too.

Also the F word does not help defuse situations,

I am the master of conflict, I know how to deal with it. We are moving on now, please join us.

If someone says something hurtful, ignore them, if they continue, leave the thread. If more people did that, we would not have so many locked threads. Fnord is a well respected member and so are you. If we deescalate these kinds of topics before the mods read them then Wrong Planet wouldn't have an issue of excessive moderation. If someone was to lash out at me, I'd just leave. If we all thought this way, we would never have a conflict. Now lets all be more mature, I don't think the moderators here have ill intent so if everyone stops now, I think there is a bright future for this thread.

I have bid my farewell and bit my tongue in more then a few threads for the sake of calm.

I saw the posts. Stop playing victim and stop lying why you're at it. I've read the topic. I bet people would be more friendly to you on here in general, if you didn't piss and moan, act like a victim so d***n much.

I seriously think you need professional help really badly. I think there is something that happened to you in real life and something in the past to cause this.

Something that I do like about Wal-Mart Neighborhood Stores is their greater quantity and variety of fruits and vegetables. The one near my house has an entire row devoted to them, and even has a tiered table down the center of the aisle with kiwis, star fruit, and durian. Frozen foods take up about the same amount of space, and there is always someone available in the deli and meat departments.

They do and not at a bad price either, I like thier pizza you have to use a oven. Though I prefer Hups Pizza and sometimes Toppers. Both of then are local and still in the state of Wisconsin. They don't do too bad with their pizzas.

Durian? Is that any good. Heard durian smells really bad or is that another fruit?

According to others, "It smells like Hell and tastes like Heaven". To me, it barely has any aroma or flavor at all - a very mild combination of banana and citrus, that's all.

I see. So it varies on the person. Though Banana and citrus sounds rather "unique" combination.
