Hit the road, Jack! Seriously. If you have a car and are financially able to do so, or even if you have to hitchhike, LEAVE BROTHER AND THE VILE BELT IN THE DUST!

At least write down these two statements:
+I now release the past.
+I have the freedom to create a new life for myself.
Put them where you can see them when you wake up and at other times during the day.

As an atheist in the vile belt myself, I know all you can do is distance yourself from it and the creatures that live there. If you can, set your sights on northern Midwest or the west coast.

all those things also kept me treading water in place, for a long time, until I ended up homeless which got old real quicklike. the army was my only exit. sometimes it takes something major to get one out of one's rut.
