I would not approach anyone, as that way, no-one feels left out.

I'm not sure if I would approach anyone. There are a few people here who I think I could have a decent conversation with, but I'm terrible at starting conversations.

I'd invite doordoctor to talk at length and in depth about Internet connection problems or other computer issues that I know doordoctor would have expertise in. I would also mosey on over to chat with david d. about philosophy. And some others here too about various other subjects i am interested in such as economics, computers, and history.

What would I do? Probably fail to make any attempt at initiating friendships with anyone and perhaps by my silence earn myself a reputation as icy and stuck-up.

Or at least that's what I would have done back when I was in college. Now I think if I really wanted to meet people, I could probably bring myself to join a club.

Why does it upset you that we're not cliquey? I don't quite understand.

No, it's great! I'm glad that there aren't any cliques here. It was everything else that was upsetting. Cliques are very unfair, especially for us Aspies.

I'd start with calandale. Until he teases me too much--then I'd tell teacher on him :x . I'd also like to hang out with The Resistence, scrulie, Yasmine, ZanneMarie, shadexiii, likedcalico, yoshie, Wolfpup, tomamil, Fedaykin.... but seriously, all of you WPers seem like you'd be neat to hang out with on one level or another.

eta: I'd also interrupt Esperanza's reading :D

Nice, an honorable mention! And I only read a fraction of the threads. :-)

I've not thought about who I want to hang out with though.

Good answer. These popularity contest-threads always make someone feel bad. You can't include one person without excluding another.

If only I could get rid of this forum. I guess when I was making this, I felt really upset about what I saw IRL. Well, now that I've pretty much come to my senses, I regret even posting this stupid question.

Sweet Yoshie .... personally I found the subject of this thread to be light-hearted and harmless, but you would do well to abandon the goal of displeasing no one. For one, it is unable to be achieved. Also, please be reassured that just because some people disagree with you, it does not necessarily follow that you are always wrong.

Soldier on. :)

Sure, pick one of the NTs. That way, someone would actually talk. :P

I've met a couple of members already, so that would make it easier.
I can just imagine trying to figure out who is whom, at some sort of
event. Mainly, I'd be curious just to actually see and smell people,
in order to compare them to my impressions. Mere pictures give
little to me. Pretty much anyone that I've interacted with would
be intriguing.

@gwenevyn - you'd like the teasing. Though, you would
have to remove yourself, as my hair blows Milton's away.

I do. It has been a long time since anybody's teased me well.

And I never said I couldn't have a soda with a Merovingian.

Ah, but you wouldn't like being outshined.
