Lost another friend :(
Well he clearly isn’t any friend to me anymore. People who need benefits aren’t violent or threatening. It a single person on sssi or ssdi has commuted any mass shootings.
A friend of mine suggested genderqueer people were responsible for mass shootings.
People are dumb.

Are you not going to be my friend because I feel some (violent) people shouldn’t have guns?
There’s moderate, and there’s extreme. Everything is not just black and white and yes and no.
You want your guns, and I respect that.
Not all gun control advocates want to take away your guns. But ALL guns could yield a lethal result....so there has to be some sort of regulation of them.
Even in the Old West, guns has to be turned into the saloonkeeper in those sorts of establishment. That’s a form of “gun control.”
You don’t have to agree with everything I believe in in order to be my friend.

To you in nyc who doesn’t care about guns it isn’t. Just as to a kkk person or slightly racist person my example isn’t extreme either. I won’t be friends with people who think I should have my rights stripped away because I can’t handle working. That’s the end of it.
There’s already loads of regulation loads and loads. You’d spend years reading all the regulations on guns there’s too much we need to remove some of it.
You all act like there’s no gun laws. That’s why people like me get so frustrated with you. There’s too many as is and you act like there none and want more
I'm with Kraftie on this. It seems that it's a shame to lose a friend over this. Sly, as you get older, you'll find that making friends is harder to do. Even for neurotypicals it can be hard because people get married and they sort of live in their own little corner of the world. They go to church and social events with their spouse, and maybe they have some friends who are couples, but even those friends don't go and talk for hours or whatever, they are more acquaintances.
You're gonna do what you're gonna do, but I'd recommend you don't take debates like this and make them into an ultimate judgement on whether or not you'll be their friend. And please understand, I can see how you'd be offended by what your friend said. But also understand there's this sort of non-specifity to what he's saying that almost makes you have to sit back and not take it seriously.
So for instance, this guy believes that people are on disability shouldn't have a gun? So a guy who had a background in the military and gets out and works in a steel mill and falls off a ladder, tunes up his back and is now on disability shouldn't own a gun? Because I mean, being that his back is all messed up, I'm sure he can run with the speed of a tiger to shoot all of the people running away as he goes on his mass killing spree. And people with back trouble, they sit their brooding all day about the non-back injured people (I think they like to refer to them as backtypicals) and how they'd like to kill them. And I'm sure they get fed more anger when they go to their backdiversive groups for people who back injuries and are fed more hate about backtypicals.
So, I think we get the idea of how silly this argument is. Honestly Sly, if the guy can throw down some beers with you and get drunk with you and make you laugh because he freakin' clucks like a chicken or whatever, you might want to consider keeping the friendship even if the guy has some extremely vague ideas on certain subjects that are offensive. Not everybody can think with the use of good logic, but that doesn't mean they are overall bad friend material.
There's my two cents, take it for what it's worth. But it's meant in your best interest, sincerely it is.
I am going to go out on a limb here and assume that 1) you have AS 2)you collect disability and 3) you own a gun. And like millions of other Americans that own a firearm legally, you are responsible and act ethically when handling your firearm. That, regardless of your disabling condition, you yet to prove that you are a violent predator. Maybe telling your friend your personal experience may allow him to see that the issue is not always black and white.
On the other hand, legislation does not act like that. Laws are reactionary and prone to be a reaction to a crisis and/or panicked citizenry wanting the government to 'do more'.

See he knows all that and he mentioned such people as who have anxiety ie he knows I have anxiety and it’s part of why I can’t work full time and get disability. It was a reply to my comment so I can’t help but feel he was meaning me.
Yup and look how much people regret supporting the patriot act.

He’s the same guy who did the car thing to me last month.
I don’t have any friends, evennthis guy we just message once and a while. I don’t and haven’t had any friends who I hang out with in person for years
He just happen to specifically use my life and disability as an example?
The guy bought his car and then wouldn't do anything about helping sly with the paperwork that should have been completed. He's a sketchy guy.
When I read what that guy is saying about people on SSI etc shouldn't own guns, it also sounds to me like he is saying that people who get aid shouldn't be free to spend the money they get on whatever they choose. Since they are being helped out they don't get all the freedoms of other citizens.
Sly: I’m not stupid. I know there are many gun laws. I should know—I live in a place with many gun laws!
I only have two simi friends. Both conservatives sadly.
I wish I could make friends actually friends to hang out with and do stuff I’m both romantically and friendship lonely, I have no one and my family doesn’t like me much either. I can’t afford to do much though, I don’t have a car. Everyone at work is conservative and only thing we agree on is guns. They look down on people like me for being in welfar and playing video games. I hear them talk s**t about people like me, glad that they don’t know I’m an aspie who plays video games
When you say “ there has to be some regulation on them” when talking about new laws it implies there aren’t any already. There are so by definition there are some(too many in my opinion) regulation on them. Most were pushed through before my time and before social medial but I’ll be dammed if anymore happens with a fight I want to keep what little of the cake we have left. We are done giving up our rights slice at a time until there’s none left. Imainge if they said first amendment doesn’t applie to computers and phones. That’s what’s happening with simi autos. They’ve been around for a long time it’s modern guns they are trying to ban. I don’t like revolvers, they have too much recoil from a far more deadly round then the ar15.

I wonder whether you'd get on with me. I am a classical liberal with elements of nationalism. I believe in a welfare state for those that cannot care for themselves.
Back in the day I was a conservative who thought the 2nd amendment was up there with the Bible and all that jazz. Now I'm pretty liberal, and I just don't see that the 2nd amendment intended for people to be able to have arsenals of assault weapons in their home. I don't see the justification.
There's this idea that people can defend themselves from the government, but that's ridiculous because OBVIOUSLY the government has access to the military and the military can send in a team of Navy SEALs to take care of business (or a large missile or whatever). So that isn't a justification.
However, in the mean time, Jimmy Bob Joe Smith has this arsenal of weapons in his trailer (got some stereotyping for you) that certainly allows him to out arm his neighbor who he's having a feud with because they drank his last Mountain Dew at a party. As a nation, we need to really focus on how much we should limit guns. Obviously, things can't stay status quo. And the violence, where is this violence coming from?
