ya meltdown never is "right" state of mind. it so happens. u got it better now, good for that.
and ya autistic are about 7%, totally not 20% anywhere (unless its a guild somewhere in a game, made for nd ppl. like by me xD then we might have more than 20% autists, plus other situations, ya). so, we are an elaborate minority, and our needs are, very sadly, under-advertized. i do what i can to educate ppl i meet on that stuff. to make at least 1 pocket of cyberspace more nd-friendly. i can only be as real as i can. and yes, i also can meltdown, and mine are frequent and violent. some people know how to deal with it, how to even stop me. some people can never forgive me, having seen just a pre-phase just once. f**k those people. point is, without mass education nobody can f*****g guess. they see a shy, compliant and clearly insecure person and they think they can push that around. and are never ready for a violent reaction. even if warned, some cases. and it will never end before they are not taught at school, or better kindersgarten, what autism really means. which hardly gonna happen in this century

Yeah, serpentari, that's why I avoid places but I can't be a recluse. I wouldn't go to a regular theatre unless it was autism friendly night. But a museum isn't highly lit. So without the stupid cameras it would be ok.
I love (specialist interest) my football and can't go anymore because of the lights and light shows. I told the disability woman this and she said she'd get in touch with the epilepsy people and the autism people but she didn't or her voice wasn't heard by those in charge of the stadium.
I've been a recluse for 5 years, never leaving my house except to walk in a field, but it's no way to live.

True I guess but I moved house so that I didn't have to stay in all the time.
And my version of not staying in all the time is buying groceries, going to museums, stuff like that. And my default as an aspie is doing that stuff. It's just I had social anxiety and didn't want to talk to anyone but mum and my cat. (I had a breakdown because of brain chemicals and also because everyone around me was horrible).

I'm not selfish either. I always think of others first. Making other people feel good makes me feel good. Some (not all) NTs would bully others to make themselves feel good. How the f**k does bullying somebody make one feel good? Bullying is one of the most selfish things to do.

Joe90, didn't you say you fantasize about strangling crying infants in another thread? Now you're suddenly St. Joesphine?
